1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StoryLark ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

StoryLark is an AI-powered bedtime story application that generates personalized stories based on user-created characters and preferences. The service includes:

• AI-generated story content
• Text-to-speech narration
• AI-generated illustrations (premium feature)
• Story sharing and export capabilities

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use StoryLark. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscriptions and Payments

StoryLark offers subscription plans through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. All purchases are processed by Apple or Google according to their respective terms.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid charges
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their policies
• Story credits reset at the start of each billing period

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (characters, story ideas, photos). By using the App, you grant us a license to:

• Process your content to generate stories and illustrations
• Store your content to provide the service
• Display your content back to you within the App

Image Upload Requirements and User Responsibility: You bear full responsibility for any photos or images you upload to StoryLark. By uploading images, you represent, warrant, and agree that:

• You own the rights to the images, or have obtained proper permission from the rights holder to use them
• The images do not infringe on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights
• You have obtained explicit consent from any individuals depicted in the photos for their use in generating AI illustrations
• The images do not contain illegal, harmful, obscene, or inappropriate content
• You will indemnify and hold harmless Intelligent Design LLC from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your uploaded content

Intelligent Design LLC does not verify, screen, or approve user-uploaded images. You are solely and exclusively responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to upload and use any images in the App. Any violation of third-party rights is your responsibility, and you agree to defend and indemnify Intelligent Design LLC against any claims resulting from your uploaded content. We reserve the right to remove any content at our sole discretion without notice.

6. AI-Generated Content

Stories and illustrations are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for age-appropriate content:

• AI content may occasionally be unexpected or imperfect
• We recommend parental supervision for young children
• Report any inappropriate content for review

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to generate harmful or inappropriate content
• Share account credentials with others
• Circumvent usage limits or subscription requirements
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access our systems

8. Intellectual Property

The StoryLark app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Intelligent Design LLC. All AI-generated stories, illustrations, and content created through the App are the property of Intelligent Design LLC. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the stories generated for your account for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any stories or content generated by StoryLark without prior written consent from Intelligent Design LLC.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that AI content will meet your expectations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
